This commit causes high playback jitter for this user (& couple of others on *buntu forums) with non-ideal video modes.
This commit does not improve playback (IMO) for users with framerate exact video modes.

I have been using patch for 6 months & monitoring the jitterometer in the OSD.
My display is set to 1080i60 but it can work with i50 & 720p60.
Tested with 1080p24, 1080i50, 576i50 & NTSC DVD.
With display set to 60Hz mode there is no jitter for p24 & NTSC DVD & low jitter for i50 media.
