Description
I have been looking for two days on this and can not see a similar bug/issue and have tried various forums with no luck.
Machine is Via Nehemiah 600MHZ (Highly dependant on xvmc) Minimyth distro 0.57. From what I understand DVD Internal should use XV in menu and XVMC in playback.
It complains a lot about xvmc-blit not being there and uses xv-blit (ie not falling back in this case to opengl like some people reported)
Playback Via-XVMC, Bob2, with Chromakey
Menu is horrible, lumpy, green screen flashes, noise stutter and processor is running 80-95%. Manage to get through it and into movie and playback is ok, processor running around 60%.
Log shows Audio Buffer Underruns.
I would say hardware..... but my confusion here is, why can Xine play the DVD fine, menus and all, but not the internal (but I hate the mess of UI). Haven't really tried with VLC, but seemed to not be 100%, ran smooth, but poor colour.
Simply if Xine can do it, and Myths internal player can not something needs a tweak.
I would happily try any suggestions, get logs and so on.

No response in 7 weeks.

There are a number of differences in how Xine plays back media as compared to Myth - Deinterlacing is a functional one, there are also possibly non-functional differences causing slower behavior.
There may be improvements to this issue in trunk - Is it possible for you to try this?
Can you also state which version of Myth you are having this issue with?
