The funny thing is that all arrows reappear (or disappear) together on a new window.

I had a small ""patch"" for this a year ago on my system and I've noticed now that this bug it also present in svn version of MythTv.

My patch (not really a bugfix) is in mythtv/libs/libmythtv/osd.cpp, rev 7173.
Simply comment line 2129:
