I have both Pinnacle and Conceptronic  cards with the same behaviour.

I have attached composite video from analog video recorder to the TV card, and stereo sound to sound card Line input

When I use Mythtv to see Composite video, the display uses to show green spots on the image, and after some seconds the system hangs.

I am using MythTV Version 16838 from Ubuntu 8.04.

Nevertheless, I can see with no such problem Composite video with xawtv, mplayer or tvtime and simultanously execute:
   arecord -f cd | aplay 
to listen to video recorder sound.
