Description

using mythtv 0.22-fixes, latest trunk. frontend with AC3 / DTS passthrough enabled.

File contains DTS-HD soundtrack.

Behaviour expected : Playback DTS core of the file sent via passthrough and audio coming out of the system.

Actual behaviour : No sound at all coming out of the speakers.

seabass: For your DTS-HD audio problem please test the patch attached to ticket #7409 and report back. AFAIK, TrueHD doesn't have an AC-3 core so is not backwards compatible with AC-3 decoders.

tralph is correct, TrueHD is Meridian Lossless Packing, not AC-3. In some Blu-ray this is muxed into the same pid as TrueHD but they are discrete. Also, ffmpeg still does not demux those PIDs properly so neither do we.
