repeated ALSA, Error: WriteAudio: Write failed, state: 3, err: Unknown error

We watched half of a movie in mythvideo yesterday evening, and then paused it to go to a holiday party. Got back and went to bed. Awoke up this morning and was awarded with a 20 GB mythfrontend.log file.

The most strange part about this is that these repeated entries didn't start until around 11.5 hours after hitting pause. Here's the first entry:

at which time we were having group study on the insides of eyelids.

There is absolutely nothing strange in the log before this... just the constant repeated messages about mythweather running in the background. Mythfilldatabase didn't run then, and no system logs entries occurred around that time either. Here is the most recent useful log entries, ~12 hours earlier. Keep in mind that we didn't hit pause until around 18:00 hours after this:
