Description
Hi,
I ran mythmetadatalookup on my recordings and a number of them ended up with the wrong inetref. For example, I have five recordings of the TV Show "Love Bites" all of which have the wrong inetref. I used the UI to update the inetref for the "Love Bites" recording rule but the recordings all still have the wrong inetref. I figured if I remove the inetref for the recordings (in the db) and re-run mythmetadatalookup with the chanid and starttime for each one it would pull the correct inetref from the recording rule, but unfortunately it always picks the wrong inetref. I would expect mythmetadatalookup to use the inetref in the rule if the recording doesn't have one set. Is there a better way to update the inetrefs for recordings? I probably have ~50 or so recordings with this issue.
BTW, I love the new metadata lookup feature and it has significantly increased the WAF which is why I want to fill out the rest of my recordings.
Thanks!
Doug

I had some valid reasons for not doing this originally, but they either evaporated or weren't good enough for me to recall.

mythmetadatalookup isn't supposed to apply the inetref from the recording rule to existing recordings-- the automated mode you are using does its best on old recordings, but it's just that, a best effort.
Inetref, season, and episode can be manually set on old recordings in the edit metadata option for recordings.
