EIT is collected via the HDHomeRun DVB-T tuner
Having used mythtv from version 0.21 with various DVB-T tuners this has not been an problem - I can try and connect an AnySee tuner where shutown and EIT worked without issues

User reported issue as fixed.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.

Do you have EIT data collection enabled? This will block shutdown no matter the hardware used.
