happened overnight so not really sure what directly caused it, I only just installed 0.26rc2 so I included the logfile from the time of first running the 0.26rc2 backend.

By freezes up, do you mean there is a deadlock or that it pauses for X milliseconds?

mythweb is unable to talk to the backend, the frontend gets no response, and attempting to use init to stop the process does not work (the kill command is required).

it was still writing to the log output however
