not sure why, I do see a lot of "WARNING - Unsupported FPS change" in the log output. Not sure what logging info I can provide to see why it stalls.

i forgot two things:
in your log your mythtranscode version is "fixes/0.25" not "fixes/0.26" as in your bug report. and your config.xml in "/home/mythtv/.mythtv/" seems to be corrupt. you should delete it and run mythtv-setup again to create it.

oops, should be fixes/0.25, brain fart. Is that patch still applicable?

no, there's not such a problem in 0.25. you have to upgrade to 0.26/fixes and the apply patch and look if the problem still exists.

the whole reason I'm sticking with 0.25 is because of all the reports that mythtranscode for 0.26 doesn't work, so that advice does not help me at all.

MythTV 0.25 no longer receives significant maintenance, and with 0.27 scheduled for release in around a month, major changes for 0.26 are not likely to be looked at. Please re-open this ticket if the files still cannot be transcoded on 0.27.

could you please try if the mythtransode-ac3 patch in Ticket #2077 (http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/2077#comment:42) solve this problem too?
