#11881 closed Bug Report - General (Fixed)

System event won't trigger during playback

Reported by: Erik Hjertén <erik@…> Owned by: Jim Stichnoth
Priority: minor Milestone: 0.26.2
Component: MythTV - General Version: 0.26-fixes
Severity: medium Keywords: event sysevent key trigger handler
Cc: Ticket locked: no

Description

Map a key i.e. CTRL+1 to a sysevent. Register a command under that sysevent, i.e. /usr/bin/gedit

The event will trigger fine and Gedit will popup fine of you press CTRL+1 when the menu is visible in Mythtv. The event won't trigger when you press CTRL+1 during playback (I tested while playing a recording).

FWIW, the event will actually trigger if the Playback OSD menu is present, but it is otherwise ignored during playback.
