Description

Updating to the latest daily 0.28 master PPA (2:0.28.0~master.20141007.ad5f589-0ubuntu0mythbuntu1) broke smooth playback (Playing DVB-S HD LiveTV). I got the .deb files from a previous version (82e8d3b) here: ​https://launchpad.net/~mythbuntu/+archive/ubuntu/master-building/+build/6407231 and installed those and then it played smooth again.

Strangely enough I had similar issues on an ARM banana pi (vdpau messages and sound stopped working, became just noise after some (always different) amount of time). For that I was using a master checkout and therefore already had one of the latest versions. However after reverting back to version 82e8d3b (hoping that that also fixed the issue) that stopped the playback; when starting I see a few seconds top the video and then mythfrontend crashes.

you probably want to use the OpenMax decoder anyway.
