Description
I have a DP monitor fed by Mesa DRI Intel(R) Haswell.
If I have a current virtual desktop showing FE and switch the monitor off for a few moments, once I switch it back on, FE always gets shown in X no matter what I do. Whether I issue a kill or xkill does not matter, the display freezes.
I cannot change to any other running app, nor start a new one and have it displayed.
And it still shows after checking that FE is not running.
All I can do is kill the X session from a vty and restart.
This has been happening for quite a while.
If I remember correctly, this started a few years ago, then I move from DVI to DP.

Can you generate some logs from mythfrontend when this happens? you may need to capture stderr as well - as any Qt rendering errors will be sent there.
Note:: I can't test anything Display Port related
