mythtv-setup hangs while adding capture card

Description

mythtv-setup hangs on my system during process of adding new capture card.
after selecting "(New capture card)" in the "2. Capture cards" menu the main menu is shown and mythtv-setup hangs.

my system is:

  • gentoo linux 2006.0 on ~x86.
  • pentium 4, 1gb ram
  • nvidia geforce graphics board
  • hauppauge nexus-ca

there is no error, warning etc in any log. system does not freeze, program does not crash.

Marking as invalid, you did not follow the instructions in the TicketHowTo, specifically the section about creating and attaching a backtrace.
