Description

I have a DVD (Caddyshack) that when played in the new internal DVD player, only seems to have one channel. What happens is that the audio only comes out of my left speaker. I would think that in this case, the best "sounding" solution would be to output that one channel on both left and right (convert it to two channel mono?)

I am experiencing this same problem with a specific TV channel as well, the sound only has one channel and it is played via the left channel. I have tried playing the recording directly from the video file using another player and it has the same problem.

i believe you should resolve such issues using alsa.
