Selecting Watch TV does not work - returns to menu

Description
I have installed the latest 0.20 CVS / Subversion and since recompiling and installing, when I select "Watch TV", Myth simply goes to a blank screen and then after a couple of seconds, it returns to the menu.
Scheduling programs for recording works without any issue and watching recorded content also works fine.

Added mythbackend.log - shows a socket error when attempting to watch LiveTV. mythfrontend.log is not currently being written - will advise.

please update to a recent version if it still happens reopen the ticket with another set of logs and a short description of your setup.
in the frontend log following lines look suspicious
sh: gggg: command not found sh: rrrr: command not found
