Myth and changing timezones

Description
Myth does not handle a change in timezone correctly on Debian Sid. Last week changed from Mountain to Pacific and all recordings are off by an hour until you clear card setting and channel setting in the setup program.

Why should MythTV automatically change timezones? Shouldn't that only happen when you move?
I'm marking this as invalid as it looks like a feature request.
