#3092 closed enhancement (invalid)
Ability to set the directory for each recording

Description
I think it would be nice to set the name of the directory where each tv show is recorded based on a number of different attributes:
Name of the TV Show, Channel Name, Channel Number, Date, Date & Time, Time
The reason for this would be that if mythfrontend isn't being used as the frontend to view the videos, it would make it easier to identify which shows are which if they are grouped into human-readable directories.

Matthew, I haven't seen the patch yet, so I don't know what it does, but my gut feeling is that the recordings should stay where they are.
The contrib/mythrename.pl script could be modified to create subdirectories, though. (either when using the --link argument, or with a new argument)

I have seen the documentation for Storage Groups but as 0.21 is not out yet, I don't know what it does. Can it create subdirectories based on dynamic and static attributes like I listed above or is it just a static name?

Closing because submitter forgot to attach the patch.
