Description
As the level of interest on the -dev list suggests, this is an area of contention between long-time users and people starting with Mythtv.
Myth doesn't work too well with the current default - It takes >4s per channel change, making channel hopping painful. I can't see any drawbacks with defaulting browse mode to on.

Makes persiset browse mode the default.
This is what most of the devs use, and is the default on every cable box I've seen too.
