Description
My current specs are a p4 2.8 ghz northwood chip with 1 gb of ram and a 7900 GT. I am not currently using XVMC for playback of TV, although it doesn't make a difference with this bug when a do (other than the fact that my OSD is grayscale and audio can be buggy, but this is a known issue). Anyway, the problem that I have doesn't exist in liveTV, when playing liveTV, I can rewind and fast foward and it's incredibly responsive. However, when I try to navigate through already recorded liveTV it takes sometimes 4 to 5 seconds to jump to another location in video. Also, when playing back liveTV, if I want to rewind in real time, or fast foward through commercials if I've paused it for whatever reason, I find that foward sometimes goes backwards and backwards sometimes goes fowards. I am using the latest unstable version in Gentoo's portage.

errr, I meant 7600 GT, regardless, the issue would not change by video card.

Please don't open tickets here for Gentoo's fork of MythTV. Open tickets in Gentoo's bug tracker instead. It appears that your database is corrupted and you don't have the keyframe map stored, please search the MythTV users' mailing list for the fix.
I am using a PC-HDTV 3000 using the dvb drivers.
