Description
MythWelcome is loaded and the countdown timer has started (MythTV is idle and will shutdown in 30 seconds). I use a default 30 seconds countdown. Waiting until it says 10 seconds and display the menu (key m) and select Lock Shutdown. Display the menu again (key m) and select Unlock Shutdown. The countdown does not reset to 30 seconds meaning you sometimes do not have enough time to select the Start Frontend button before the system decides it needs to shutdown. In the example above it is set to either 10 seconds or 20 seconds showing on screen but depending on when you originally locked the system you may only have a couple of seconds before the shutdown process is started.
Suggest when you select unlock the countdown timer should be set back to the default value.

I agree this can be annoying :-)
It's actually the master backend that handles the idle count down and has nothing to do with MythWelcome. It just displays the countdown based on the messages sent from the BE.
Fixing this would mean having mythshutdown, which does the actual locking/unlocking, to send a message to the BE telling it to reset the idle countdown whenever the shutdown is unlocked.
