Description

Attached patch (against 0.20.2) puts ATSC (EIA-708) at the end of the preference list of formats of closed captions/teletexts/subtitles/etc. More specifically, this means VBI (EIA-608) is now preferred before ATSC for things like the "TV Settings|Playback|Always display closed captioning or subtitles" setting and the TOGGLECC binding. As VBI captions work great (at least for a North American user like me) and ATSC captions are still very, very broken, this is a good thing.

I don't think I can use this patch, but I would like to add this feature to MythTV before the 0.21 release if I have the time.

(In [15764]) Fixes #4444. Some tweaks to EIA-708 caption setup, including allowing EIA-608 captions to be preferred over EIA-708 captions.
