#5734 closed patch (fixed)
Custom Transcoding Profiles Unimplemented

Description
In both -fixes and trunk, the option to create custom transcode profiles exist. Unfortunately, these profiles are useless as they do not show up as options when transcoding. The only way to customize transcoding profiles currently is to edit the existing ones.
From discussions with developers it seems this is known unimplemented functionality. It might be wise to remove the option to add a custom profile until such time as the functionality is added.

To clarify, the custom rules can be used but they are not listed in some locations such as the Job Options > Begin Transcoding menu, so they cannot be used in manual transcoding jobs started from within the frontend.

Attached patch works for me.
Any feedback is appreciated, especially relating to handling string translations. Hope this is OK, but will obviously update it if needed.

I had pushed down the priority list as there's currently no way to delete of profiles, and the current settings editor doesn't allow what I'd like to do... I had hoped it would have been migrated to mythui by now.
Will look at updating the patch later this week

There are a couple of minor problems with the last patch. I'll take this one and get it in.

Has this been completely fixed, I'm using .25 on ubuntu and I'm still having the problem.

the new rules do show up when editing a schedule rule to auto transcode (under post-processing), but i havent checked to see if they actualy work there
