Can't schedule recordings

using the guide to schedule recordings does not work. I am familiar with mythtv and have been a long time user without problems. Due to a hard disk crash I had to reinstall. I used Mythbunto 8.10. I have two PVR cards - a 250 and a 350. This set up worked fine until I reinstalled.

Normal guide behavior was select a show, set recording options, and save changes. This would result in an icon on the show or on multiple occurrences depending on the recording options. Now, it just goes back to the guide and show 'not recording'. In addition, the upcoming recordings is empty.

When I run mythbackend --testsched I get what appears to be correct - the shows show up. When I run mythbackend --printsched I get an empty list.

I am able to record shows by selecting to record them during live TV (hitting the record button on the remote).

I've attached logs - they contain numerous erros.

This is almost definitely a configuration issue which will be fixed when you correct your input connections: ​http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/264034#264034 .

The scheduler in 0.21 and 0.21-fixes is functional. As the comment above says, this is a configuration issue.
