Missing and erratic status updates in EPG

Description

I mainly use the MythCenter[-wide] themes, but I see this problem in Terra as well.

The problem is most easily seen using two frontends and doing the following:

Go to frontend 1 and bring up the EPG for the current time.

Go to frontend 2 and schedule recordings for program(s) currently visible in the frontend 1 EPG.

Go back to frontend 1 and notice the appropriate programs do not show as Recording, Will Record, etc.

The (probably) same problem can be seen on one frontend, though the effect is somewhat different. The recording statuses do change, but they do so very erraticly.

Probably related "Edit Schedule" doesn't work either in the EPG.

(In [22393]) Remove event() from GuideGrid and handle the events in customEvent instead.

For some reason event() was causing all customEvents to go AWOL. This fixes several bugs in the EPG like the menu not working and recording status not updating properly. Fixes #7267, #7244.
