ubuntu karmic 64bit 0.22.0+fixes22594-0ubuntu1
mythfrontend log doesnt say much: Error in my_thread_global_end(): 1 threads didn't exit <unknown>: Fatal IO error 107 (Transport endpoint is not connected) on X server :0.0.

No response, it sort of sounds an awful lot like an outside of myth problem, but no way to be sure without any diagnostic data.
