Description

Here is a patch that will allow mythtv to use libmp3lame via dlopen. This will help with distributions that want to distribute mythtv but can't distribute libmp3lame. This works so long as the lame.h header is available to build from.

Status: new → infoneeded_new

I am not a fan of this idea for ideological reasons ("special handling" of lame makes no sense at all).

Also, the patch does not notify the user when libmp3lame is not available - Audio will, as far as I can see, just not be recorded.

No response to info request, and building myth without mp3lame produces unusable myth anyway.
