Window 7 skip buffer

When I run Myth on Windows 7 and I press the left, right, up or down arrow keys to skip within a recording, the display freezes for approximately 2 seconds and then skips to the new location where it resumes playing. When I run Myth within Ubuntu on the same computer, the skips are virtually instantaneous. The freeze lasts approximately 2 seconds no matter the length of the skip. My skip settings are set to the defaults. A similar 2 second freeze occurs when Myth skips commercials.

Will need front and backend logs for when this happens to you, probably with "-v file".
