Description

hi! since my mythtv box (a laptop) with a 256kb geforce m8600gt card has problems playing videos using vdpau (tearing, gui lag,...) when compositing is enabled, it would be nice to have an option to turn it automatically off during playback and turnig on again when playback ends.

Toggling compositing in the nVidia drivers requires a restart of the X server. Feature requests are not valid bug tickets. Please read the TicketHowTo.

i meant desktop effects instead of compositing, sorry...
