breaks apache upon install

Description
Mythtv broke my apache setup upon installing the plugins. I even answered no for use mythtv for default.

We don't distribute any code which installs mythweb or touches your apache setup in any fashion. Sounds like you want to talk to your packager.

http://www.mythtv.org/download/plugins/0.24 <---- I guess I am talking to my "packager" because this is where i downloaded the file from.

Then you are confused or mistaken in some fashion. Mythplugins install doesn't touch mythweb. Mythweb needs to be manually copied over and configured. You may wish to seek assistance on the users list to clear up your issue.

Nor do we have any prompt that asks you for "use mythtv for default," whatever that means. Sure *sounds* like a package to me.
