Master backend crashes within 10 seconds of slave connecting

Description

For the past week any checkout I've tried has crashed within 10 seconds of a slave backend connecting. It will run for hours just fine, but if I start a slave it will crash 90% of the time.

I've tried this with and without any local patches (my logs show my IPv6 patches but I get the exact same crash with a vanilla checkout) as I first thought it was my patches but it appears to not have anything to do with them.

Since I can pretty much trigger this at will I can try just about any test :)

I believe we fixed this in d54110f57750 in master.
