xrandr mode change linked to interlace detection

Description

I've noticed that there is xrandr mode change available for different resolution of video, but could we add the ability to link mode changes to interlaced/progressive content detection? I'm sorry if this is already implemented. I've been looking through all the settings but it seems to only be linked to video dimensions.
