EPG favourites display fail

previously (on 0.22) I could display only Favourites channel group in EPG but now in 0.23 changing the "Default Group" setting to Favourites (or any other group for that matter) does nothing

I can add/remove channels from my channel groups - EPG doesn't care - it just shows them all...

In Mythweb, I found a checkbox to only display Favourites in EPG (presumably in the web version?) - this also seems to have no effect EXCEPT:

I click on Listings and I get a Fatal Error:

SQL Error: Table 'mythconverg.favorites' doesn't exist #1146

riiiiight...

no wonder making changes to that Favourites group did nothing!

anyway, there's a backtrace attached - I assume this must work for other people?

The MythWeb issue is a dup of #8249 and #7628 and #7536 and #7479 and is fixed in both current 0.23-fixes and trunk.

In MythTV/mythfrontend's EPG, the "Default channel group" setting is not used when the EPG is first opened.

However, in mythfrontend's EPG, the channel group can be changed manually using MENU|Choose Channel Group. Note, however, changing channel group will not work if you have not defined a valid Channel Group (i.e. for those users who have only an empty Favorites channel group, it will correctly display the message, "You don't have any channel groups defined" when you attempt to Choose Channel Group). You must define Channel Groups--including the Favorites Channel Group--in Utilities/Setup|Setup|TV Settings|Channel Groups.

I'm taking the ticket and will fix the EPG and its use of the "Default channel group" setting.

Thanks - I can confirm choosing a group manually from the menu does actually work but yes I have to manually do this every time I open the EPG

I found the fix for mythweb, applied the patch, that works ok now...

Please note I upgraded to 0.23-1 - this behaviour is still the same

(In [26734]) Fix a bug were the EPG was always starting showing all channels. We now make sure the EPG honours the last channel group set or the default channel group depending on how the 'Remember Last Channel Group' setting is set.
